Still, over the last few years, consumers have had fewer inhibitions about downloading something that isn’t on the App Stores, with big brands like Trivago, Twitter, and Flipkart all having developed PWAs. ![]() There is limited information that indicates whether this prediction came to fruition. Gartner predicted that by 2020, PWAs would replace 50% of consumer-facing native apps.
